A jeweler's workbench with hand tools and a ring in progress

Wayne, New Jersey

The finest jewelry store
in North Jersey.

The work happens here, at the bench in back. Repairs are sized, soldered and set on-site. Gold is weighed in front of you and paid the same day. Engagement rings are made to your vision — bring in the idea and we'll build it exactly the way you pictured it.

We buy gold & silver

What we do

Four reasons people walk in

Gold & silver buying

Bring in what you no longer wear — broken chains, single earrings, old class rings. We test it, weigh it on the counter while you watch, and quote a price against that day's market. No appointment.

What we buy

Jewelry repair

Ring sizing, chain soldering, stone tightening, clasp replacement, prong rebuilding, pearl restringing. Most repairs stay in the shop, and simple ones are often done the same week.

Repair services

Custom design

Bring a sketch, a photo, or a ring you inherited and don't wear. We design it in CAD so you can see the ring from every angle before it exists, change whatever you want, and cast it once it's right.

How it works

Engagement & wedding

Loose diamonds shown side by side under the loupe, so you can see what you're paying for. Settings in yellow, white and rose gold, and bands to match later.

Selling gold

See exactly what your gold is worth

The uncomfortable part of selling gold is not knowing whether the number you're given is fair. So we do it in the open: your pieces are tested and weighed on the counter where you can see the scale, and the offer is worked out from that day's spot price and the karat.

  • Broken and mismatched pieces are worth the same as whole ones — melt is melt
  • Paid the same visit, no mail-in envelopes and no waiting on a check

Repairs

Your jewelry doesn't leave the building

A wedding band that hasn't fit in years, a chain that snapped, a stone that rattles when you tap it. These are the jobs a bench jeweler does every day, and they're the reason to use a shop with one instead of a counter that ships everything out. Andy has been doing them on Berdan Avenue for thirty years.

  • Ring sizing up or down, including shanks that need rebuilding
  • Chain and clasp repair in gold, silver and platinum
  • Stone tightening, prong retipping and stone replacement
  • Pearl and bead restringing, knotted by hand
  • Watch batteries, band sizing and pin replacement while you wait

Custom design

You see the ring before it exists

Custom work goes wrong when the first time you see the ring is the day you pay for it. So yours is drawn and modeled in CAD first — a full three-dimensional design you can turn around on screen and view at actual size. You tell us what's off, we change it, and nothing is cast until you say it's right.

  • Reset the stones from a piece you inherited but never wear
  • Rebuild a worn ring around its original center stone
  • Match a ring that was lost, from a photograph
  • Hand engraving and personal marks inside the band
